Happy Hallows ~ New Single ‘October’

by Catherine Hatt: “Raw and unvarnished but absolutely beautiful" BBC Across the Line.

'October' is a ghost-whispery poem-song which crept into my brain one dark October night and was recorded the next day by werewolf Marty Byrne. It is released 17 October, in time for Hallowe'en...

This came to me fully-formed like a tiny perfect cobweb, and was recorded in one take ~ adding found sounds, thumb piano and wolf howls...
It breezed though us that day in a single puff of smoke, but I hope it’s release as a single will help it float on, into your ears and others.

Available today on all platforms.

Marty Byrne produced this as part of his Song A Day For A Year (SADFAY) project. He's a fine furry fellow, thanks Marty.

Catherine Hatt has released three home-made albums since 2014: 'Sweetcorn', 'Lost and Found' and 'Sea Star'.

Her songs are spontaneous and her music is self-produced, with the exception of her new single ‘October’, recorded and produced by Marty Byrne.
